YERXA, RUSSELL S. The passing of Russell Samuel Yerxa of Scotch Settlement, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Monday, July 7, 2008 at the age of 76. Born May 17, 1932 in Queensbury, NB, he was the son of the late Chester and Lydia (Brewer) Yerxa. Russell was a woodsworker.

Predeceased by his parents; his wife, Dora Madeline (Shaw) Yerxa; a son, James Yerxa; several brothers and sisters.

Survived by a son, Brian Yerxa (Judy) of Springfield, NB; daughters, Rose Harrison (Stanley) of Scotch Settlement, Lydia Harrison (Robin) of Scotch Settlement, Jane Arbeau (Terry) of Springfield, NB, Joan Harrison (Clayton) of Bear Island and Cathy Harrison (Terry) of MacFarland Road (Royal Road, NB); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Gertrude McKeen of Fredericton, Connie LeBritton (George) of Rusagonis and Ruth Hill (Ferguson) of Alberta; three brothers, Philip Yerxa (Beverley) of Mactaquac, Wayne Yerxa of Scotch Lake and Arden Yerxa of Mactaquac; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at the Scotch Settlement Cemetery on Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Rev. George Clark will officiate. Memorials to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton have been entrusted with the arrangements.
