• Worked in the shipyard at Portland ME
• Joined the US Army at Bangor ME 2 November 1942
• Served during the Second World War as Second Lieutenant in the Infantry
• Died 4 March 1944 in France during the Battle of the Buldge
• Buried in the Military Cemetery at Nancy France
• There is a memorial gate to Renfrew's memory at Dorthy Dix Park near Hampden ME, south of Bangor
