YERXA, BYRON CHRISTIE The passing of Byron Christie Yerxa of Keswick, NB, husband of Kathleen (White) Yerxa, occurred on May 20, 2008, at York Manor Nursing Home, with his family at his side. Born on March 13, 1924, he was the son of the late Newton and Amelia (Christie) Yerxa. He was a member of Keswick Baptist Church. Byron was a former church Deacon, a member of the Keswick Cemetery Board of Directors and he was a retired shop foreman from Elm City Chrysler.

In addition to his wife, Kathleen of 63 years, Byron is survived by his daughters; Carolyn Jones (Ralph) of Keswick, Sandra Waddingham (Randy) of Charters Settlement; son, Edwin Yerxa (Patricia) of Fredericton; grandchildren, Jamie Jones, Beth Morehouse (Jamie), Heather McKinnon (Kevin), Andrew and Bradley Waddingham, Mysti, Hoben and Amanda Yerxa; great grandchildren, Evan and twins, Lauren and Aaron Morehouse, Colin McKinnon, Jordan Hoben and Austin Yerxa; brother, Ashley Yerxa (Helen) of Keswick; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Bryon was predeceased by his brothers, Bruce and Infant Edwin.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Keswick United Baptist Church on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 2 pm with Pastor Jonathan McKay officiating. Interment will take place at Keswick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
