• Married Emma M. Dow of Canterbury 5 July 1860 at Canterbury by Bapt. D. Outhouse of Lower Woodstock in the presence of Gideon Dow and Elizabeth Yerxa
• Was a farmer
• Baptist in religion
• Died 15 March 1873 aged 38 years
• Buried in the Dow Cemetery now the Lower Meductic Cemetery

• Emma M. Dow was born 1839 usually known as "Amy"
• Daughter of Samuel Dow and Mahala Yerxa
• Remarried to Enoch Gilbert from Douglas
• Living in Woodstock Parish, Carleton County NB in 1881 and 1891
• Died 1902 at Lower Woodstock, death is said to have been caused by pneumonia
• Buried in the old Dow Cemetery beside her first husband, Elias Aaron Yerxa.
